Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-04

In plain terms: Pokémon Auto Chess Wiki doesn't have accounts, doesn't run its own analytics, and doesn't store anything about you on our own servers. The main privacy-relevant thing happening on this site is that Google AdSense shows ads here to help pay for hosting, and Google's ad system uses cookies to do that. The rest of this page explains exactly what that means and what choices you have.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Pokémon Auto Chess Wiki at pokemon-auto-chess-fans.com. See our Legal Notice for who operates the site and how to contact us: info@pokemon-auto-chess-fans.com.

2. Data we collect directly

Very little, because there's very little for the site to collect:

  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, log-in, or user profile anywhere on the site.
  • No forms. The search box and the Pokémon "Compare" tool work entirely through the page URL (e.g. /compare/pikachu/raichu); nothing you type is sent to or stored on a server beyond serving you that page.
  • Standard hosting/server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider's web server automatically logs basic technical data for every request — IP address, browser/user-agent string, the page requested, and a timestamp — for a limited time, purely to keep the site secure and working (e.g. detecting abuse or attacks). We don't cross-reference these logs with anything else or use them for marketing.

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data to anyone.

3. Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

This site itself does not set any cookies of its own. However, we display ads through Google AdSense, and Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies on this site in order to:

  • serve ads, including selecting which ads to show and how often;
  • measure ad performance and prevent fraud/abuse; and
  • where you have consented (see below), personalize ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

Full detail on which cookies are used and how to control them is in our Cookie Policy. In short, you can:

  • manage ad personalization directly at Google's Ads Settings;
  • opt out of personalized advertising from many companies at once via aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative; and
  • where legally required (visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), respond to the consent prompt shown on this site before any personalized-advertising cookie is set.

You can also block or delete cookies entirely in your browser's settings at any time; doing so may still allow the site's own content to load normally (since the site doesn't need cookies to function), though you may then only see non-personalized ads.

4. Your rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal data is processed about you and why;
  • request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data;
  • restrict or object to certain processing, including ad personalization; and
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Because this site itself stores essentially no personal data about visitors, most of these requests in practice concern Google's own ad-related data — use the Google links above, or Google's own Data & Privacy controls, to exercise rights over data Google holds. For anything else, email info@pokemon-auto-chess-fans.com.

5. Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California residents)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (which, under California law, can include the use of cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising — i.e. the kind of ad personalization described above). You can opt out via the cookie/consent controls on this site (where shown) or via the Google links in Section 3. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money.

6. Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience reference resource and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. We don't operate accounts or forms of any kind, so we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information some other way, contact us at info@pokemon-auto-chess-fans.com and we will address it.

7. Third-party links

The site links to the actual Pokémon Auto Chess game, its source code repository, and occasionally other resources. Those sites have their own, separate privacy practices that this policy doesn't cover.

8. Data retention and security

We keep server logs only as long as reasonably needed for security purposes, then they age out. The site is served over HTTPS. As with any online service, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but given how little data passes through the site, the practical exposure is minimal.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data (for example, if we add analytics or a new interactive feature in the future), we'll update this page and its "Last updated" date.
