The lobby list has a few different ways to play. They share the same core rules — eight players, the plan-and-fight loop — but differ in matchmaking, whether Elo is on the line, and how the board is filled.

Classic

The casual PAC Experience !
8 players, Elo disabled, open to everyone.

Ranked Match

For competitors ! 8 players, Elo enabled
Restricted to players close to your rank

Double Up

Team up with a partner and outlast every other duo!

2v2v2v2 — you and a partner face three other duos. Elo is separate from standard ranked.

Smeargle's Scribble

Play for fun ! 8 players, Elo disabled
A new special rule is added for this game.

A random special rule (below) is rolled for the whole game.

Scribble — special rules

In Smeargle's Scribble (and some custom lobbies) one of these rules is applied for the entire game.

Rule	Effect
Everyone is here !	All the additional picks are available immediately
Unique Starter	Get a random Unique at stage 1
Omelette Cook	Get a Pokémon Egg after stage 1, 2 and 3
Ditto Party	Start with 5 Ditto on your bench. Ditto cannot be found in the shop and cannot be sold.
Gotta catch'em all !	Some Pokémon can be caught before each PvE round
Technologic	Choose between 3 tools at stage 2 and 4
Crowded Board	+3 units max on board
Free Market	Pokémon are bought and sold for 0 GOLD
Shiny Hunter	Wild PvE encounters at stage 1, 9 and 14 are shiny
Do it all yourself !	Start with a copy of your avatar. Lower rarity avatars get additional max HP and starting gold.
First Partner	Choose your starter Pokémon. You get a copy of this unit every stage up to stage 10.
Slamingo	All items are dropped when a Pokémon is put on the bench. Starts with 4 random components.
Blood Money	Every KO gives 1 GOLD (excluding clones and spawns). No extra income from interests.
Town Festival	You always get an encounter in town and all the carousel items are free.
High Roller	Shops have a chance to contain Hatch at stages 0-10, Unique at stages 10-20 and Legendary after stage 20.
Regional Specialties	Your current region types count towards your synergies. After changing region, your team tastes a local dish.
Go big or go home	Units gain 5 max HP and grow in size at every stage.
Family Outing	Pokémon from the same family all count towards synergy levels.
Unown Spell	Unowns are spectating your fights and are casting spells on both teams each round.
The Chosen Ones	The add picks you choose evolve immediately and gain bonus stats.
